Our first ALA Student chapter meeting tonight was awesome! Krystal Thomas and Sandra Varry from the COVID-19 FSU Community Experience Project spoke on their work in Heritage & University Archives to document the personal experiences of FSU students, staff, and faculty during the Coronavirus outbreak. Sandra Varry is the Heritage & University Archivist within Florida State University Libraries, and Krystal is the Digital Archivist working within FSU’s Strozier Library. After speaking, both archivists took several questions from members. The COVID-19 Project is ongoing and has no planned end-date. If you have a COVID-19 experience to share (and don’t we all?) consider submitting it to the archive! Visit the website, fill out the Google doc, and submit your memories.
